When the Room Believed

An Atlanta Wedding,
Becomes a Moment

The reception in full swing. An entrance is made, a voice is heard: “Oh my god! Mommy, mommy Michael Jackson is still ALIVE!” It was a little girl who started crying and sobbing at the start of the Michael Jackson impersonator MJ3's show. Every move was felt. All sealed with “Billie Jean,” the moonwalk, and a vintage MJ keepsake hat sailing into the crowd.

“For a moment in time, it felt as if he REALLY DID bring Michael back to life.”

Rooted in Musical Legacy

This is the history of MJ3—the tribute where Michael Jackson’s beginnings in Indiana and James Brown’s formation in Augusta are felt in Atlanta.

Emerging from a foundation converging in layers: First talent show victory on the Theodore Roosevelt High School stage, born in Gary, Indiana, the youngest of nine. MJ3 — organic realism.

MJ3 childhood archival portrait — Gary, Indiana

Atlanta is the origin of Coca-Cola and an origin in American Soul. MJ3 grounds the origin spanning live tributes to Jackie Wilson, James Brown and Michael Jackson.

The MJ3 production draws reference points from the precision of Fred Astaire and the Nicholas Brothers, the drive of James Brown, the charisma of Jackie Wilson, and the pop architecture of Michael Jackson.

Realizations

Realizations: reviews

“Very professional, quick to respond, very clear about his performance and communicated well with my wedding planning team. With all the stress I had planning my wedding, I am so happy to say that my MJ performance was not of any concern.”

Yma K.

“I booked Jovan (MJ3) as Michael for an annual get together with friends and family. This year we did it in Buckhead and got the best Michael Jackson performance brought to life, you couldn’t tell us this was an Impersonator! We were locked in from the first moves and my wife said ‘This tops everything!’”

Marcus T.

“We hired Jovan for our Mother’s Day Celebration in Alpharetta and gifted our Mothers with the Jackie Wilson, James Brown and Michael Jackson show. We’ve seen tributes on cruise ships, at Vegas and on Broadway, so when I tell you we were floored… We would definitely recommend him for any host looking for top of the line entertainment!”

David L.

“EVERY move, EVERY twitch, and EVERY expression was done so perfectly! It’s easy to see and tell, that Jovan is an artist with a gift, who is extremely passionate about his work!

At the end of the show, a lucky member of our family was also fortunate enough to catch the vintage MJ hat, which was randomly tossed into the audience just after the “Billy Jean” moon walk performance! What a special treat and surprise!!!

Afterwards, Jovan even stayed long enough for everyone to snap photos with him as the one and only icon; which was ‘The cherry on top’…”
